COOLANT CONNECTION PIPE

Component responsible used to distribute the cooling in the hoses or relevant parts, to the cooling system fixed by a screw.

LOCATION

Located in many parts of the cooling system, there is no specific site.

TYPES

• Flanges:

  all those connections that are bolted with 2 or more screws to the head/block (not threaded themselves).

• Coolant connector flanges:

  all those connections that have their own thread/are inserted into the block/head.

• Thermostat cover:

  all those connections that are bolted with 2 or more screws to the head/block (not threaded themselves).

• Connector:

  allows quick and convenient connection or disconnection of some of the cooling hoses.

COMMON FAULT SYMPTOMS

• Breakage or deterioration of the sealing gaskets

• Engine overheating
