WINDOW SWITCH

Allows the driver and passengers to control the power windows. When the switch is activated, a signal is sent to the window motor, allowing the window to move up or down.

LOCATION

On the vehicle door panel, near the driver’s area. Often also on passenger doors.

WHY DO THEY BREAK DOWN?

• Accumulation of dust/moisture in the contact
• Electrical failure

FAILURE EFFECTS

• Inability to control the window
• In some vehicles, a warning alarm is triggered on the multifunction display.
