XENON LIGHT SENSOR (HEADLIGHT RANGE ADJUSTMENT)
Element in charge of measuring the inclination of the vehicle to regulate the light beam of each of the vehicle’s front headlights.
It must be considered that the height of the car, and therefore the automatic adjustment of the height of lighting by these sensors, depends on several aspects, such as the weight of the vehicle or the pressure of the tyres.
FEATURES
They usually have an arm that is anchored to the vehicle so that through the inclination/position of the arm you can know the inclination of the vehicle. In this way you can correct the xenon light beam at any time in all circumstances.
LOCATION
In the vehicle we find 2 sensors that measure its inclination, one on the front axle and the other on the rear axle, one of which is on the left side and another on the right side which will transmit the information to the headlights through the control unit.
POSSIBLES FAULTS
- Bad connection of the sensor due to a bad fixing, causing it to ignore the alert from the control board indicating the presence of an error.
- Improper leveling of sensors due to unwanted inclination.
- Accumulation of dirt in the sensor caused by unevenness.
- Inability to pass technical control, which generates sanctions for its use.
